About This Quote

Edward Lear was a British writer and artist. He is known for his nonsense poems and drawings. Lear once said, “People are as tiresome as they are amusing.” One of Lear’s drawings, which he captioned “It his mind, they reminded him of ‘Tweedle Dee’ and ‘Tweedle Dum’, with an extra emphasise placed on the ‘Dum’!” shows two people who are similar to the two characters from the nursery rhyme called “Tweedle Dee & Tweedledum.”
